good im here first before going to church.

God is mazing. I know that much.
Lots of times we want stuff we can't afford. It helps us work harder to get it. And I do want to buy some stuff for myself too. like Diamonds.

You have to work to make a relationship work, but it has to come naturally too.

Lots of people fall easily too.

I'm off to church. have a beautiful sunday

i get how you felt when you wrote it but what you were saying? not so much.
so many babes in blogville are in long distance relationships.. it's such a heartbreaking place to be! don't try too hard... it should feel comfortable.

Afrobabe said...

I think the trick is not to put in too much effort, just let it flow...some of the comments and actions in blogsville get to me too...

We like too much dramma...

buying myself stuff...lol..I must say the tot has never occured to me...I would rather that superstar like tyrese..do the buying...

OluwaDee said...

Hihi!

Okay so, theres no r'ship you won't have to work/put effort. But it should be mutual.

The way God teaches us things is just ... He has brought things 2 my knowledge in ways that r beyond me.

Buttercup said...

i totally feel u on wantin to be able to afford what u want...

yea, God really is wonderful, i feel so undeservin but He still doesnt stop showin His love...

relationships..*sighs*..

i wish i were married to cristiano ronaldo..i was tellin someone the other day that if God answers that particular prayer, i wud NEVER sin again!

ok, that was quite silly..

i've never had my eyebrows waxed, just the occasional tweezin..

anyhoos, take care babe!

fantasy queen said...

like afro said let it flow....i'm sure things would get sorted out soon enough. and if its really meant to be, you'd end up happy.

i always buy myself stuff, its got a feel good formula attached to it, but that doesnt make me lust after the little gift boxes handed to me by some dude.

badderchic said...

Echoin Afro, just let it flow babe

doll said...

super star indeed. LMAO. i cant wax any part of my body o! you tried as per the relationship thingy...just let it flow naturally. it may or may not work out but give it your best shot if you feel its worth itfr

Lucky you, the clone wars don't come out until wednesday in MD.

Hope everything works out for you dear.

Vera Ezimora said...

This is one heck of a random post oh. I don't even know how to start commenting on it sef. The difficult relationship (tell me about it, gal!), the eyebrow waxing (yes, very painful), expensive taste (let's just say I intend to be rich),superstar hubby (no way!). lol.

Did I address them all?

Mz. Dee said...

hun there's no way to plan a relationship....

have u listened to Make it work by Neyo? I think it sumz up how ure feelin... u jst hv to make it work! weakness.. or stronness(is that even a word?? hiss)

Beyond said...

don't think there is any rule that guides relationships ... every relationship kinda states its own rule....just let things take it natural course, pray to God for guidance and hope it works out fine.

Don't think i have the nerves for waxing.... can't stand pain.

bumight said...

you'd never waxed ur eyebrows before now? thank God u were disvirgined then, lol.

relationships shuldn't be one sided.

Lolllll...haven't we all thought of getting married to super-stars like TAYE DIGGS???? Oh my gosh, I remember when I was actually thinking of marrying him...I just thought he was the best thing since sliced bread and butter...

The best relationships are the imperfect ones that are never planned...

So did I ever say that ur hand-writing is fab? Neat! :)

Rita Esuru Okoroafor said...

A time will come when you will be able to afford anything you want yourself. But I'm sure you will prefer "him" buying stuff for you.

No relationship is the same because people are different. You'd be surprised that what Mr. A disliked about you is what Mr. B loves about you.

Just be yourself in your relationship. As long as you both understand that you're not perfect and a successful relationship is one which both parties work towards, I believe you'd have a beautiful, successful relationship.

And please don't force a non-working relationship to work.

my sista, life's complexities and intricacies are what make the world a special place for us all. Reading this post showed a vulnerability that was sweet and endearing. Take it easy and as for waxing, keep it up, in no time you'll merely blink as the specialist rips the hair out =)

Take care of you!

princesa said...

Totally random.
Please come and finish this business o!

Trust me girl, you dont want someone to be weak with. Been there...

The right person should make you feel strong.

(¯`·._.·[***Fresh&Fab***]·._.·´¯) said...

YES, why why why do we have to deal with all that, why?????

if i open tori for u my sista, u no go even believe

no way to plan the relationship, it just has to flow, thats how u know how long it would last...

that your last question is all i can think about right now!!!

archiwiz said...

Mmmm...I've read all of you guys comments...and the gears are working...

I want to know the balance between the work and flow...That, I really want to know.

@Afro... I figured as much, but then doesn't that lead to hedging? Frankly, I'm tired of hedging.

LOL @buttercup...Isn't tweezing more painful than waxing?

@FQ...Thanks for stopping by...And for realzz..

@badderchic...I read your blog ohh...wow! Serious stuff there.

LOL Vera...indeed it was random...Things (as in, my thoughts) would form properly by the next few posts.

@ Mz Dee... I will go look for that song.

@beyond...True...I'm praying though...

LOL @bumight... Indeed ohh...

@lady koko...I like your new name for me ohh...50/50...yeah

archiwiz said...

LOL @jaycee... Taye Diggs exudes a little too much sex for me. And thanks 4 the compliment...I'm a bit more careful with my writing when i blog.

@uzezi...hmmm... you're right...it does make me work harder to get stuff. Do a lot of people really fall easily?

@geisha...LOL...yeah i guess it came off that way, but that's how i felt at the time.

@rita...well said...Sometimes though I wonder whether I give up too quickly...I prefer things to be close to perfect.

@afronuts...LOL...ok...whatever...

@SSD...Hmmm...true...I'll take it easy, but as for the waxing... I don't think so ohh...The whole thing is just a bit weird to me...I'll be painting my nails either brown or black this weekend though.

@princesa... :)...I'm coming to finish it... R u sure, about someone to be weak with? Hmmmmmm...

@ F&F...Gist us ohh....Abeg...you don't know who it could help...As per my last question....Hmmm...I go still ask am.

I think not being able to have all we want is really a blessing in disguise. It makes us work harder and be more creative.
I'm enjoying this 'girlydom' journey of yours. Hows the make-up thing? Never had my eyebrows waxed...i get em tweezed or done with a razor. I just cant stand that pain!
On marrying a superstar...Tyler Perry isnt married oh! Heck he would write a whole play for you...

@Archiwiz: I used your concept of "This is how I blog" on my blog but only for a picture... Did you see it?

your relationship drama sounds a lot like mine. I'm actually writing a post on that right now...
How are you?

Parakeet said...

Which one person one talk about now madam? Ehm...if you want anything good in life you've got to make an effort. Having said that though, if you dont feel like making an effort now it probably is wont be worth it in the end.

As per dysfunctional family in Nija, we are taught to just get on with things. What doesn't kill you, will only make u stronger. Trust me a lot of people are emotionally and mentally damaged in Nigeria without knowing.

I think this is my first time on this blog. BTW, you have a lovely handwriting.

Ouch! Waxing really hurts doesn't it?

About relationships, there's no particular set of rules that guides them. Each relationship requires an amount of patience and wisdom.

On a lighter note, there's a pick-up line competition taking place on my blog. $20:00 to be won each week.

If relationships had a formula
the words divorce/split up/break up would not have existed in our relationships vocabulary.
But i guess even though everyone speaks of striking a balance no one can actually say at what point is that balanced reached.
I would say its okay to put in some hard graft for a relationship to work, as long as it still pays dividends coz no one wants to work for mahala(nothing) or minimum wage.

Not my original location but this will work just fine.

I use vista. I've not played with Windows Journal before, maybe I'll try that, it looks like an easier method.
I don't like the ink blog tool on WLW. It's too small and I can't seem to expand it sideways and it looks like it's only good for short posts.
I'll try WJ and snip and see how that goes. Thanks.
