Hello,
Obviously the friend is suffering from esteem issues. You could either be kind and compassionate by helping to boost her/his self esteem constantly. On the other hand if the friendship is getting too tedious, cut your losses. I have lost many friends because of my lack of patience for such behaviour.

Yes, should you or should you not.......WHAT???

Just generally speaking, issues r better resolved than left to fester. First if this friend has been good all along, maybe it's just a phase or a lone incident. On the other hand, it might be an indicator of said friends "true colours", but all the same, instead of ignoring, just put it out there, that you didn't appreciate whatever it is that you have not told us!

should u cut homegirl off? Yes. you cant let ppl weigh you down, especially if they aren't bringing positive results into your life, if everytime you are dealing with this person you feel emotionally, mentally, and physically drained then yes its time to cut lose....this of course easier said than done.

As for naija...God dey sha, he will uproot us from our backwardness one day..how does one bring a bag of rice and 6000 to a funeral those that even seem like it would make up for the life that they stole? boggles the mind.

LOL @bumight... WLW messed up the initial post that's why you couldn't see the content initially. LOL @ living the same life.

@temite... True. I tried, and it didn't work. I have personally cut it off, but she keeps coming back and trying to siphon from me, and is not happy with the massive brick wall I'm putting up.

@mizchif... Should I or should not talk about it... on this blog. This is the same person I referred to in the snooping case here: http://archiwiz.blogspot.com/2008/09/have-wonderful-breakfast.html . I have the unfortunate trait of being unable to talk about things particularly when I stop caring for someone, but this has gone on for almost 2 years and I don't want to have anything personal to do with her again.

@doog...xyz In my opinion I had cut her off. Obviously she decided that she still had more to leech from me so she sorta came back. Its a very long story with a lot of negative things and I'm wondering whether to discuss it because I hate drama, and its partly why I walked away from her. In addition, I want to get a fairly unbiased view of the whole thing because I know that sometimes I tend to be legalistic about issues.

@kin'shar... Pele... I hope things get better.

lmao @ bumight. craze girl!

abt ur 'friend', if u r brave enough or comfortable with confrontation i'd advise u call her out & sit her down. tell her wot u feel/suspect she is doing & have her either accept (& hopefully apologise) or deny it. however, if u r me who utterly hates confrontation, u'd bury ur head n d sand & wish it'd go ahead. in d meanwhile, keep up d appearance of 'niceness' till d friendship naturally runs its course
